Politics Matters is also currently looking for regular contributors on a wide range of British political topics. Writing for Politics Matters can be a a great way to bolster your CV, a a productive way to spend your spare time or both.
Writers are expected to contribute 2 articles per week though this is flexible and negotiable. Politics Matters are committed to being as open and user friendly as possible and therefore offers writers the opportunity to upload articles directly to the website subject to site responsibility rules.
As the magazine is currently an exclusively online publication, writers can research, write and submit articles from home. Contributors are expected to have an intimate knowledge of the British political system and the ability to write insightful and well-thought through articles which add to the British political narrative. With this in mind, Politics Matters welcomes applications from political students, practitioners, party members, journalists and those with a general interest in a chosen subject matter.
Applicants are requested to email applications to email@example.com and state their name in the title of their application. Other useful information to include in an application email:
- Political background (inc. any party affiliation)
- Educational background
- Current employment status
After submission of application, individuals will be required to produce a ‘trial article’ on a topic negotiated with the editor. If successful, this article can then be used as the writer’s first post.
All writing posts are currently unpaid.
